UGROUND, a leading company in social and business transformation toward the digital world, has received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for its Quality Management System and the ISO/IEC 27701 certificate for its Privacy Information Management. These two seals, granted by EQA and accredited by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC), certify that the company implements and maintains a quality and privacy information management system in accordance with international standards.
Specifically, the company has been recognized for its successful adaptation to the changes brought about by the current Covid-19 crisis, the use of two-factor authentication across various key applications within the organization, and the automated reviews conducted using its internal UMonitor tool.
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is an international benchmark focused on all elements of quality management that a company must have to maintain an effective system that enables it to optimize the existing quality of its products or services and manage risks. Meanwhile, the ISO/IEC 27701 standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving a Privacy Information Management System.
According to Alfonso Díez, CEO of the company, “with the achievement of these certifications, UGROUND demonstrates its commitment to adopting the most demanding standards and will continue working toward continuous improvement, transparency in management, and providing the best service to its clients in the most efficient way possible.”
These standards place greater emphasis on the need for continuous improvement and the development of indicators to demonstrate progress, all through ongoing evaluation and monitoring. They also strengthen compliance with legal requirements by demanding the submission of evidence that supports such compliance.
